While Kawhi Leonard didn’t play a lot in his rookie season, he showed flashes of brilliance in his first year. This includes a 2012 jam over future teammate Serge Ibaka.
After a juke froze Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden, Kawhi attacked baseline and rose up. Ibaka was a premier shot-locker at the time but could only watch as Leonard yammed on him under the rim, with the Oklahoma crowd trying not to react to the poster dunk.
Kawhi rocked a handful of Nike classics for his rookie campaign, including the Nike Kobe 7 during this highlight. This shoe featured interchangeable midsoles for fast and power games. Leonard opted for the former, playing to his deceptively quick playing style.
The colorway Leonard rocked was the subtle Black and Wolf Grey Kobe 7, which can be found at StockX.
