After missing a game dealing with the emotions of Kobe Bryant’s sudden death, Kyrie Irving put on a show channeling his “Mamba Mentality”.
Irving was a walking buck in the first half, as he literally could not miss. Irving even finished the 2nd quarter scoring 5 points in 5 seconds after a steal and buzzer-beating 3-pointer. The Chicago Bulls couldn’t stop Kyrie in the second half either; Irving finished the game with 54 points on 19-23 shooting from the field. After nailing a fadeaway contested mid-range jumper in the 4th, the hometown Brooklyn crowd erupted with joy. Irving made sure to honor his mentor Kobe Bryant by pointing to the heavens. After the W, Irving made sure to mention the “Mamba Mentality” in him that led to the scoring outburst.
The footwear of choice for this game was the Nike Kyrie Low 2. The low-cut sneaker was designed with fast guard-play in mind. The shoe is low-to-the-ground for added court-feel. The Kyrie Low 2 does boast rectangular Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot for extra bounce. The upper consists of a durable textile material, with plastic pieces used as heel reinforcement.
