The rivalry between LeBron James and Steph Curry went to the next level in game 6 of the 2016 NBA Finals.
Curry had just won his second straight MVP award, while many felt LeBron was the league’s most valuable player. With their backs against the wall, the Cleveland Cavaliers were closing out the Warriors and needed a stop. Curry got switched on LeBron and quickly whizzed past him. James closed out which forced Steph to stop with a dream shake. The move didn’t fool James though, as he emphatically swatted the shot towards the crowd. The Quicken Loans Arena went crazy, as the camera panned towards LeBron. He bobbed his head and talked some trash, looking insulted by the weak layup attempt.
James rocked the Nike Zoom Soldier 10 for this iconic swat. The sneaker featured three straps on the midfoot and ankle area, providing lockdown despite the lack of laces. Large Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot allowed for bouncy steps and landings. A TPU shank is lodged between these units for added stability.
The white and gold Soldier 10 that LeBron wore in this moment eventually released via popular demand, and can be found HERE.
You can find other colors the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 at StockX and Flight Club.
