The King looked to post up the smaller Rodney McGruder on this play. While James could’ve barreled through the guard, he decided to methodically back him down. Off the ball, Cavaliers teammate Richard Jefferson slowly crept inside the three-point line. With his defender looking to double LeBron, Jefferson tiptoed his way to the hoop. James never looked his direction, but delivered a perfect no-look bounce pass behind his back to Richard, who reverse dunked the ball with ease.
James rocked the Nike Zoom Soldier 10 for this crazy assist. The sneaker featured three straps on the midfoot and ankle area, providing lockdown despite the lack of laces. Large Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot allowed for bouncy steps and landings. A TPU shank is lodged between these units for added stability.
