Year 17 and LeBron James is still busting out insane in-game dunks. This time, it was to pay respects to the Black Mamba.
Against the Houston Rockets, the King was in his bag on a fast break. After Los Angeles Lakers Guard Avery Bradley corralled a loose ball, it was just him and James ahead of the pack. LeBron was all by himself after a quick pass, as he took his time to deliberate on the next move. James leapt and showed a straight forward two hander. He then pumped the ball down and reversed the jam on the left side of the rim. As the Lakers Instagram pointed out, this was the same dunk that a certain Lakers legend busted out 19-years ago at Staples Center. The King once again paid homage to the recently passed Kobe Bryant with this rock the cradle jam.
The shoes that King James rocked for this game was the Nike LeBron 15. This shoe features a BattleKnit upper which provided a sock-like fit, but was also thick enough to provide durability needed for James’ playing style. The max Zoom Air units further provided a bounce needed to posterize defenders.
The blue and yellow “Waffle” colorway that James rocked has not released.
You can find the other colorways of the Nike LeBron 15 at StockX, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
