Legend has it that Michael Jordan once jumped over a tree. Wayne “Tree” Rollins that is.
On this play, Jordan had the ball at the left corner. His signature palm fake left the Atlanta Hawks defense frozen, allowing MJ to drive to rim. Michael collected the ball in the paint and rose up. The very tall Rollins rose up as well but didn’t have the ups that the Chicago Bulls star did. Just like that, the eventual GOAT posterized Rollins with a right-handed slam.
MJ laced up the Air Jordan 2 for this moment. Michael Jordan’s second signature sneaker features a luxurious feel with Italian leather and faux lizard skin panels. To give the Jordan line its own identity, the signature Nike swoosh is replaced by the wings logo on the tongue. Full-length encapsulated Air is in the midsole, providing extra comfort to the wearer.
