While Michael Jordan is one of the greatest scorers ever, his passing ability was underrated. This is an example of Mike having eyes in the back of his head.
On this play, Chicago Bulls big Luc Longley swatted a Sixers shot towards the three-point line. Mike got to the ball first on the scramble for the rebound. In one motion, Jordan flipped the ball over his head all the way to the opposite side of the court. This gave Scottie Pippen one of the easiest dunks in his career with no Philadelphia player around. Just your casual, no-look dime pass from the GOAT.
The sneaker that MJ wore for this moment was the Air Jordan 11. This combines Mike’s request for a “shiny shoe” with the philosophy of a lawnmower that designer Tinker Hatfield owned to ideate the Air Jordan 11. Aside from the patent leather, the shoe features the strong and lightweight carbon fiber shank plate for added support. The shoe also featured lightweight Phylon and a full-length Air unit for a cushioned ride.
The “Concord” colorway he rocked for this pass can be found HERE.
You can find other colors of the Air Jordan 11 at StockX, GOAT, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
