Michael Jordan Slams Game-Winning Dunk Over MonStars in the Air Jordan 11 Shoes

The odds were against Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes gang in this matchup against a supernatural squad.

The MonStars had the size advantage, with many of their players being able to perform 1080 dunks over the diminutive Bugs Bunny and crew. They did have weak links on their team though namely Blanko and Nawt. The blue and magenta MonStars could not take advantage of their Shawn Bradley and Muggsy Bogues powers, going scoreless in this game.  The Looney Tunes were only down 76-77 with 10 seconds left in the game. Michael received the inbound and immediately attacked Pound, the orange MonStar who could be heard trash-talking MJ. In an unexpected move, his Airness rose up from half-court to evade Pound. This was totally unnecessary as there was no three-point line to be seen and MJ’s squad only down 1.

Looney Tunes Forward Bill Murray also appeared to be open, but Mike had this. In one of the most egregious no-calls you’ll ever see, Bang (green) and Bupkus (purple) hung onto Jordan mid-air. Not even inertia could stop the GOAT though, as his fortitude gave him full extension for a right-handed throw-down dunk, as time expired. The final statline for MJ: 44 points on a perfect 22-22 from the field, and 5 powers returned for his NBA colleagues.

The sneaker that MJ wore for this moment was the Air Jordan 11. This combines Mike’s request for a “shiny shoe” with the philosophy of a lawnmower that designer Tinker Hatfield owned to ideate the Air Jordan 11. Aside from the patent leather, the shoe features the strong and lightweight carbon fiber shank plate for added support. The shoe also featured lightweight Phylon and a full-length Air unit for a cushioned ride.

The black and concord purple namesake “Space Jam” colorway he rocked for this moment can be found HERE.
