Paul George Stuns 76ers with Game-Winning 4-Point Play in the Nike PG 2.5 Shoes

Paul George hasn’t always been considered a clutch player, but his heroics helped his Oklahoma City Thunder get the W against the Philadelphia 76ers in a 2019 contest.

The Thunder just about threw away the game when an errant inbound pass was stolen by Jimmy Butler, who raced down the court for the go-ahead layup. Now down 113-115 with 6.9 seconds left, a few OKC cross-screens allowed the ball to be inbounded to George. PG was so open that he took the jumper immediately after gathering. Butler tried contesting but hip-checked into Paul. The jump shot, and subsequent free throw, hit nothing but net as the Thunder stole one on the road.

The sneakers Paul George rocked in this game was the Nike PG 2.5. This shoe basically was the same as the PG 2 with a strap added for extra lockdown in the midfoot. The PG 2 and 2.5 also featured “dynamic wings” near the laces for added snugness. Extra bounciness can be felt in the forefoot, with the Zoom Air unit in the PG 2 being larger than the one on the PG 1.

George rocked the white “Playstation” collab colorway for this big shot, which can be found here. You can find other Nike PG 2.5 colors at StockXGOAT, Stadium Goods, and Flight Club.
