The mild-mannered Steph Curry hardly gets heated on the court. When he does get angry though, watch out.
Curry’s Warriors were in an intense overtime game against the Timberwolves late in the 2018-19 season. Down 127-130 with four seconds left, The Dubs inbounded to Kevin Durant who rose quickly for the three. Minnesota Forward Keita Bates-Diop inexplicably reached in, as KD went up and sank the three. Just as baffling was the referee call, stating the foul was on the floor and nullifying the 4-point play. The entire Warriors team just held their heads in disbelief.
As the T-Wolves had a foul to give, Iggy inbounded the following play to Curry in the corner. Jerryd Bayless draped Curry without fouling, so Steph took a few dribbles to step back on a fadeaway. Swish. Before double OT could start, Steph made sure to point to the referee who made the prior call, as if saying “YOU DID THIS.”
The sneaker Curry rocked for this moment was the Under Armour Curry 6. This sneaker boasts full-length HOVR, which is Under Armour’s pinnacle cushioning technology that provides a plush ride and energy return.
