Zion Caps Off Crazy Sequence With Monster Dunk in the Nike Kyrie 4 Shoes

Sloppy offense in the 2019 Duke vs. Syracuse ACC Championship Game turned into a wild sequence involving Zion Williamson.

The Duke Forward tried to start a fast break on one play, but was snuffed by Orange players. Syracuse Forward Oshae Brissett eventually tipped the ball at mid-court way up in the air. Tre Jones played the part of volleyball player thereafter and spiked the ball towards fellow Blue Devil R.J. Barrett. With Zion running full speed, Barrett touch passed a lob from the corner. Zion easily rose up and threw it down to the roars of the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.

Zion’s monstrous slam happened in the Nike Kyrie 4. This version was specially reinforced with Coach Krzyzewski sending Nike’s top guys to look into the busted PG sneakers. The swoosh team ended up cooking numerous Kyrie 4s after their findings. Williamson would go on to alternate between Kyrie 4 colorways the rest of the year to avoid the wear-and-tear that likely played a part in the PG 2.5 incident.

This guard sneaker featured Cushlon and Zoom Air in the heel for a soft, responsive ride. Even with this cushioning, the wearer sits low to the ground for added court-feel. Mesh and leather makes up the upper for breathability as well as a nostalgic touch.

Zion rocked a white Duke PE for this moment, but you can find the Nike Kyrie 4 in other colors at StockX, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
