Duke was riding a six-game winning streak going into their 2019 matchup with Clemson. The game itself was a blowout for the Blue Devils but it saw Zion Williamson perform one of the best dunks in NCAA history.
Duke was up big going into the second half, and teammate Tre Jones didn’t let up with full-court pressure. The Clemson guard tried to spin away, only to see Zion streak by like a gazelle. After the easy steal, Williamson prepped his steps for a 360 degree one-handed dunk that electrified Cameron Indoor Stadium. On replays, you can see friend and teammate R.J. Barrett jump for joy, with Zion primal screaming after landing the highlight.
The sneakers worn for this moment was the Nike PG 2.5. This utilized a forefoot strap for added lockdown as well as a responsive Zoom Air unit in the forefoot for a quick first step.
