The typically forceful Zion Williamson put on the moves on this play, with ankles being harmed in the process.
The highlight starts with New Orleans Guard Lonzo Ball grabbing a rebound and immediately passing cross-court to Williamson. Golden State Warriors big Alen Smailagic reached for the steal but the ball was snatched by Zion. Alen knew he was out of place on defense and tried to recover by getting in front of the Pelicans rookie. Zion took a jab step, which had Smailagic’s momentum lead him stumbling. All he could do was watch as Williamson took the wide-open three that dropped straight through the net.
The sneakers Zion rocked for this highlight slam was the Air Jordan XXXIV. The 34th jumpman sneaker features large Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot to give Williamson even more bounce to his step. A cored out pebax plate surrounds these units for lightweight stability. The upper is composed of a lightweight mesh for breathability, with a woven layer adding much needed durability.
