After missing five games due to a knee injury, Zion Williamson was back for the ACC tournament.
All eyes would’ve been on Zion anyways due to his status as the best collegiate player, not to mention the PG 2.5 explosion that shelved Zion. The Duke Forward acted as if he never got hurt, scoring early and often. This included post ups, as well as his signature steals leading to highlight dunks. In addition to the 84-72 win against Syracuse, Zion was a perfect 13-13 from the field. The damage included 29 points and 14 rebounds.
The footwear of choice for this game was the Nike Kyrie 4. This version was specially reinforced with Coach Krzyzewski sending Nike’s top guys to look into the busted PG sneakers. The swoosh team ended up cooking numerous Kyrie 4s after their findings. Williamson would go on to alternate between Kyrie 4 colorways the rest of the year to avoid the wear-and-tear that likely played a part in the PG 2.5 incident.
This guard sneaker featured Cushlon and Zoom Air in the heel for a soft, responsive ride. Even with this cushioning, the wearer sits low to the ground for added court-feel. Mesh and leather makes up the upper for breathability as well as a nostalgic touch.
Zion rocked a white Duke PE for this moment, but you can find the Nike Kyrie 4 in other colors at StockX, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
