Zion Williamson Steals Kevin Knox’s Lunch Money for Dunk in the Nike Kyrie 4 Shoes

No ball is secure with Zion Williamson on the court. Knicks forward Kevin Knox learned this the hard way in a 2019 Summer League game.

All eyes were on Zion for his unofficial NBA debut, with the sellout Thomas and Mack Center buzzing over the Pelicans big man. This includes LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the crowd, getting their first live look at Zion. The former Blue Devil looked a bit out of shape until late in the 1st. Williamson couldn’t corral a rebound that got tipped to Knox, who secured the ball with a hugging motion.

Somehow, Zion reached from behind Knox to grab the ball with both hands. He then ripped left and right, dropping Kevin to the hardwood. Williamson easily slammed the ball as Knox looked on from his backside, capping off the aggressive play with a primal scream. Eventually, Zion was shut down for the game after knee discomfort. Apparently this angered the basketball gods as Las Vegas was shaken by a earthquake soon after Zion’s benching.

The kicks Zion rocked this game was the Nike Kyrie 4. This version was specially reinforced by Nike’s top guys after his PG 2.5 ripped in college. This guard sneaker featured Cushlon and Zoom Air in the heel for a soft, responsive ride. Even with this cushioning, the wearer sits low to the ground for added court-feel. Mesh and leather makes up the upper for breathability as well as a nostalgic touch.

Zion rocked a custom Duke PE for this moment, but you can find the Nike Kyrie 4 in other colors at StockX, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
