Spoiler alert: Zion Williamson has ups.
The Duke Forward was demolishing game number 3 of his collegiate career against Eastern Michigan with endless dunks. Arguably the best slam came in the middle of the 1st half. Teammate Cam Reddish was running point when he suddenly stopped near mid-court. When the lob pass was thrown, Zion was still at the 3-point line. A mere mortal would just let the ball sail out of bounds but Zion made up ground quickly and jumped. Zion easily grabbed the ball with both hands, peaking at the midsection between the top of the backboard and the shooter’s square. The lob dunk was emphatically thrown down, as the Cameron Indoor Stadium exploded with noise.
The sneaker in this highlight for Zion was the Nike Kyrie 4. This style features a soft Cushlon foam in the midsole that combines with a bouncy heel Zoom Air unit for a comfortable ride. Mesh is used in the front of the upper for breathability. Synthetic leather and suede was utilized in the heel as an homage to the retro sneakers that Kyrie Irving loved growing up. The main attraction is the traction, which rides up the midsole for secure movement from all angles.
Zion rocked a Blue Devil PE for this moment, but you can find the Nike Kyrie 4 in other colors at StockX, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
