A rookie Anthony Davis came through in the clutch, with his long arms contributing to the win.
The still skinny A.D. was parked at the top of the key with his New Orleans Hornets down 86-85 to the Boston Celtics with 12 seconds left. Teammate Eric Gordon was dribbling down the clock before driving right with the first step. Gordon faded away on a one-hander that didn’t have a chance of dropping. With legend Kevin Garnett waiting to secure the board, The Brow’s long arms came out of nowhere with the tip. The ball caromed off the backboard and rim before dropping with only 0.4 seconds left.
The shoes Davis wore for his first game-winner was the Nike Hyperdunk 2012. This shoe notably features exposed Flywire strands that help secure your foot to the upper. Lunarlon cushioning was used in the midsole for a soft, squishy ride.
Davis rocked a Hornets PE colorway for this clutch moment, but you can find other colors of the Nike Hyperdunk 2012 at StockX.
