Dame (Jr.) Time was ticking, so Damian Sr. had to take a game against the New Orleans Pelicans into his own hands.
The Portland Trail Blazers were trailing for most of the game in a chippy battle between the teams. The fourth quarter was Lillard’s for the taking though as his girlfriend was expecting a baby at any time 2500 miles away in Portland. Lillard sank a long three just twelve seconds into the closing quarter, and was rolling from there. Damian mixed it up with mid-range fadeaways and impossible layups thereafter. A floater with about a minute left ended up putting the game away. The damage in the fourth: 20 points in the quarter with 41 overall and 9 dimes. Dame Jr. was born two days later off the crazy performance from pops.
The sneakers Lillard wore for this iconic game was the adidas Dame 4. This signature stuck the formula of Damian’s line, with a small price point ($115) and decent tech. BOUNCE is used in the midsole for responsive cushioning. A open-holed mesh is featured on the upper for breathability throughout. A wavy sole covers for great traction, which is also to made to look like the waveforms of music, playing off Dame DOLLA’s music career.
