Damian Lillard Hits First Ever Game-Winner in the adidas Rose 773 Shoes

Damian Lillard has always been known for his clutch moments. Dame Time first started in December 2012, with the rookie point guard impressing against the New Orleans Hornets.

After blowing a large lead to Anthony Davis and the Hornets, the score was tied 92 all with 4.2 seconds remaining. The Blazers had possession with Lillard inbounding. After a few seconds, Damian shot a pass to teammate Luke Babbitt, who instantly handed the ball back. Dame went right, before taking a Babbitt screen left. This pick gave Lillard just enough space to fade away on the long three over the arm of Forward Ryan Anderson. The ball hit the back iron and down the net, as the Rose Garden crowd erupted. He didn’t tap his wrist at this point, but the Dame Time mentality was born on this game-winner.

The sneakers worn for Lillard’s first clutch shot was the adidas Rose 773. This shoe is equipped with a SprintWeb toe overlay for added strength in the area. A SprintFrame chassis added support, while Rose’s signature heel 3-stripe branding showed signature adidas branding. Lillard played his first game of the 2012-13 season in the Rose 773, and continued to do so for the rest of his Rookie of the Year winning campaign.

Damian Lillard’s adidas Rose 773 shoes are currently unavailable at retailers.
