Another game, another clutch Damian Lillard moment. This time, the victims of Dame Time were the Phoenix Suns.
The Blazers were down 102-104 with 30 seconds left in the game when Lillard went to work against guard Shaquille Harrison. Damian drove right before making a steep step-back that froze the defender. Lillard sunk the mid-range fadeaway to tie the game up. The Suns went on to turn the ball over the following possession. This set the stage with less than 5 seconds left for a game-winner. Dame easily drove past Elfrid Payton then eluded Devin Booker to slip a layup in with just 0.9 seconds remaining. The Portland bench couldn’t help but celebrate with Lillard on the crazy turn of events.
The sneakers Lillard wore for this clutch shot was the adidas Dame 4. This signature stuck the formula of Damian’s line, with a small price point ($115) and decent tech. BOUNCE is used in the midsole for responsive cushioning. A open-holed mesh is featured on the upper for breathability throughout. A wavy sole covers for great traction, which is also to made to look like the waveforms of music, playing off Dame DOLLA’s music career.
Damian rocked the “Rip City” home colorway of the Dame 4, which you can find here.
You can find the other colorways of the adidas Dame 4 at StockX and GOAT.
