In one of Damian Lillard’s flashiest highlights (other than his game-winners), the Blazers guard destroys John Henson’s ankles.
Dame started the play taking a screen from Portland teammate Noah Vonleh. With Milwaukee Bucks wing Tony Snell picked off, it left Vonleh’s man in Henson in Lillard’s path. John tried to bend his knees and use his long arms to contain Damian as he drove left. A snappy behind-the-back dribble had Henson back-peddling before falling in a heap on his butt. Clean up on isle 31. Dame then faked a pass right, which had Matthew Dellavedova’s head spinning. A high floater over Mirza Teletović was the cherry on top for the triple highlight play.
The sneakers worn for this moment was the adidas Dame 3. This was the first signature shoe for Damian to feature the “Dame” moniker, as his previous shoes were dubbed the “D Lillard” 1 and 2. Full-length Bounce cushioning was used to provide a firm, yet springy feeling. A jacquard woven upper was utilized to provide a soft, durable structure.
Lillard rocked the all-red “Roots” colorway for this moment, which you can find HERE.
You can find other colorways of the adidas Dame 3 at StockX and GOAT.
