The 2018-19 season was one of the most prolific scoring years for James Harden. The Beard still made time to drop some dime passes to his Houston Rockets teammates though. This includes an absolutely magic trick of an assist against the OKC Thunder.
The play started like many others; with Harden at the top of the key moving left using a P.J. Tucker screen. In the confusion, both Jerami Grant and Steven Adams looked to take away driving space by doubling. Before they could reach James, he quick jumped and delivered a bounce pass between his own legs. Since Adams went to double, this left Clint Capela with an open lane for the layup and the foul from a trailing Paul George, converting the sweet assist.
The sneakers the Beard laced up for this dime pass was the adidas Harden Vol. 3. The Boost cushioning provides a plush feeling that absorbs any landing. The shoe was made specifically for Harden with traction that rides up the midsole, a feature that helps James stabilize himself on step-backs.
Harden rocked a Christmas custom PE colorway for this highlight, but you can find the adidas Harden Vol. 3 in other colors at StockX and GOAT.
