The highlights keep rolling for James Harden, as he put up two in just a few seconds against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
On this play, T-Wolves Guard Robert Covington shadowed the Beard even after a Rockets screen. Harden drove to the hoop and slowed down to go behind the back on a dribble. This quick move stunned Covington to the point that he completely fell over after thinking this was a pass. Big man Gorgui Dieng rotated to Harden but James quickly slipped a nutmeg pass between his legs to Rockets Center Isaiah Hartenstein, who finished the assist with an and-1 layup. The cherry on top: Harden scored his 20,000th point during this game and got the blowout 139-109 W.
The sneakers the Beard rocked for this historic game was the adidas Harden Vol. 4. This shoe features LIGHTSTRIKE cushioning that provides a balance of responsiveness and step-in comfort, while still being lightweight. A midfoot band draws eyes while also locking in James’ foot to assist with all of his stop-and-go moves.
James rocked a red upper, white midsole player exclusive that is currently unavailable.
