James Harden came up clutch in an overtime thriller between the Warriors and Rockets in a January 2019 matchup between the bitter rivals.
Golden State was up 134-132 with 5.5 seconds remaining in overtime. The Dubs pressured every player on the Rockets inbound play. A P.J. Tucker screen and Harden juke gave the Beard just enough space to retrieve the ball at half-court. Klay Thompson moved his feet laterally to perfection, but another Tucker screen caught him off-guard for a brief second. Harden immediately rose up, feet from the 3-point line. Draymond Green closed out hard with Klay contesting as well. The contact collapsed James to the hardwood, but the shot was already through the rim. Harden finished with 44 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds in the 135-134 win.
