You don’t often see crazy highlights in big Conference Finals games. This was the case for game 2 between the OKC Thunder and Dallas Mavericks, as fundamental play went out the window for a crazy poster.
Durant’s Oklahoma City squad was down early in the first quarter when teammate Eric Maynor handed the ball to KD. Peja Stojakovic got in his defensive stance but the then 33-year old didn’t stand a chance. It took a few dribbles to leave Peja in the dust as Durant rose up. Brendan Haywood jumped for the contest but tried to bail when Durant was practically eye level with the rim. The Slim Reaper then packed a right handed dunk in Haywood’s grill. Brendon did his best to walk off the embarrassment afterwards, but the poster was cemented.
The footwear in said poster was Durant’s Nike KD 3. This shoe notably features a lower cut than his past signature models, aiding in the quickness displayed in the highlight.
