Kevin Durant Goes Toe-to-Toe with LeBron James During NBA Finals in the Nike KD 4 Shoes

Kevin Durant and LeBron James’ careers will always be connected with NBA Finals matchups aplenty between the forwards. The first time this occurred was in 2012, when Durant’s Oklahoma City Thunder team faced James’ Miami Heat.

Game 1 saw a scoring barrage from both eventual MVPs, as KD and LBJ put on a show in front of the Chesapeake Energy Arena crowd. LeBron did a lot of his damage inside, scoring his first points by getting KD to foul him on a post-up. Durant did his work from the perimeter early on, hitting midrange and 3-point jumpers. Kevin mixed it up though, making sound passes and even dunking on Chris Bosh in the 2nd quarter. The game was close until late in the 4th, when Durant’s Thunder pulled away. James ended up with 30 points, which was dwarfed by Durant’s 36 with the W.

The sneakers Kevin Durant wore for this highlight was the Nike KD 4. These shoes were a hit with sneakerheads as the glossy Hypefuse uppers served as a canvas for crazy prints like pearls, a weather-map, and Nerf-colored styling. The low-cut design carried over from the 3. This combines with the Zoom Air unit in the forefoot for a quick and responsive ride.

KD rocked a white and gold player exclusive of his 4th signature shoe for this moment.

You can find other Nike KD 4 colorways at StockX, GOAT, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
