Even with the lights shining during the 2016 NBA Playoffs, Kevin Durant decided to show out with a monstrous slam.
The highlight started with Dallas Mavericks Forward Justin Anderson getting posted up by KD. Anderson tried to hold his own by keeping his feet active but a quick pump fake had him playing catch-up the entire play. Durant then dribbled right from midrange extended and sped to the rim. Kevin was so fast that Dirk Nowitzki barely turned his head before Durant threw down a reverse jam. An extra freeze sneer from Durant post dunk capped off the athletic display.
The sneakers Kevin rocked for this play was the Nike KD 8 Elite. This shoe featured a Flyweave upper for instant comfort, with added durability compared to a knit. Instead of a traditional heel cup, “teeth” resembling a sabertooth tiger’s were used to provide stability. Segmented full-length Zoom Air gave Kevin responsiveness for a quick first step, with the cut sections allowing for more flex to the shoe. The Elite version further added a compression sleeve attached to the collar that catches eyes.
Kevin Durant rocked a black player exclusive for this matchup, which was not made available to the public.
You can find the Nike KD 8 at StockX, Flight Club, Stadium Goods, and GOAT.
