Lonzo Ball Sinks 7 Three-Pointers in a Game in the Nike Kobe 9 Shoes

A lot had been made about Lonzo Ball’s odd-looking shot during his rookie season. This scrutiny was magnified by the bright lights of Los Angeles. Once Ball was traded from the Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans, it appeared his shot had improved, at least aesthetically.

The fruits of his labor was reaped in a late 2019 game against the Houston Rockets. Just 30 seconds into the game, the Rockets defenders backed way off on a pick and roll daring Zo to shoot. Ball squared up without hesitation and confidently sunk his first trifecta. Gradually, the Rockets started closing out with each three-point shot. His career-high seventh three saw a defender leap at Lonzo, with the ball still going straight through the net.

In addition to the sweet stroke, Ball was dropping dimes left and right like usual. The damage: 27 Points, 10 Rebounds, and 8 assists in the blowout win.

The sneaker that Lonzo wore for this game was the Nike Kobe 11, which was Kobe Bryant’s last on-court sneaker. This was the engineered mesh version, with a light and breathable upper. A drop-in Lunarlon midsole was used with a full-length Zoom Air unit for soft, yet bouncy cushioning.

Ball wore the “Philippines” colorway for this moment, which you can find HERE.

You can find the Nike Kobe 11 at StockX, GOAT, Stadium Goods, and Flight Club.
