Luka Doncic may not be the quickest guard in the league, but his controlled dribbles can drop great defenders like Paul George with maximum embarrassment.
On this play, Luka deliberately dribbled the ball up the court per usual. After a hand-off, Doncic drove to the rim with a lot of acceleration towards the OKC Thunder defense. He then stopped on a dime before dribbling backwards as if he was going to spin to his right. This change of pace caused George’s ankles to buckle, needing to his brace his fall with both hands. Luka then had a straight line to the rim, where he easily dropped in a layup. After recovering, all PG could do was look up as Luka Magic scored two points.
Doncic rocked the Hyperdunk X Low for this moment. The high-top and low-top features the same specs, with the collar height being the only difference. The Hyperdunk X boasts Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot for a responsive bounce to your step. An external heel cup and TPU piece on the midsole add weigh to the shoe, but also provide support that was a staple in the Hyperdunk line.
