Luka Doncic Fakes Out Rudy Gobert for Easy Layup in the Nike Hyperdunk X Low Shoes

Luka Doncic established himself as one of the sneakiest hoopers from plays like this one against the Utah Jazz.

In this sequence, Luka grabbed a board and raced up the court. A few dribble moves and a DeAndre Jordan screen helped Doncic race towards the rim where he ran into Rudy Gobert. Ricky Rubio recovered and Doncic was forced to pass the ball back out. Doncic then re-posted Rubio, spinning into a flip shot that went in and out. The Mavericks star hustled to grab his own board, with both Jazz players surrounding his potential layup. Doncic faked like he was running back out, and Rubio followed. The ball was then faked behind Gobert’s back, and Rudy looked in that direction accordingly. The Jazz center was so frozen from the fake that Doncic was able to lay the ball in without even jumping.

Doncic rocked the Hyperdunk X Low for this moment. The high-top and low-top features the same specs, with the collar height being the only difference. The Hyperdunk X boasts Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot for a responsive bounce to your step. An external heel cup and TPU piece on the midsole add weigh to the shoe, but also provide support that was a staple in the Hyperdunk line.

Doncic wore a blue colorway for this game, which can be found HERE.

You can find colors of the Nike Hyperdunk X Low at StockX, Flight Club, and GOAT.
