“Ice” Trae showed off his unlimited range in this highlight moment against the Detroit Pistons.
On this play, the Pistons stymied the initial play call. This forced Trae’s Atlanta Hawks teammates to pull back up to Young at mid-court to reset. Instead of getting another screen, Trae bent his knees and rose up quickly for the shot. Young’s three stripe sneakers happened to rise up from the Pistons logo from half-court. Defender Thon Maker didn’t bother contesting, and the shot rainbowed it’s way straight into the hoop. In this first game of Young’s sophomore season, Trae got the W alongside an impressive 38 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds.
The sneakers Trae slipped on was the adidas N3XT L3V3L. This features a laceless, compression Primeknit upper that was comfortable straight out of the box. Lightstrike foam is used in the midsole for lightweight comfort on the court and off.
Young rocked an all-white version of this sneaker, which is currently unavailable.
