Kevin Durant Bests LeBron James In NBA Finals Matchup Wearing the Nike KD 10 Shoes

Kevin Durant was finally back in the NBA Finals against longtime rival LeBron James. This time around, Durant was playing with the stacked 2017 Golden State Warriors squad that was 12-0 leading up to this game 1 matchup.

Durant absolutely dominated the opposing Cleveland Cavaliers, as his 2012 Finals loss likely motivated Kevin to ball out. The Slim Reaper was relentless from all areas of the court, even dropping LeBron on a pump fake that led to an easy KD dunk. Despite being at home at Oracle Arena, there was at least one notable name that was rooting against Durant; Rihanna. Late in the 3rd, the Barbadian singer reportedly yelled “brick” during Kevin’s free throws. Durant was undeterred, as he later nailed a backbreaking three before staring in her direction. The damage: 38 points, 8 rebound, and 8 assists to LeBron’s 28. More importantly, the Warriors went up 13-o in the 2017 postseason.

The sneakers Durant rocked for this Finals matchup was the Nike KD 10. This signature sneaker carried over many details from the KD 9, including a Flyknit upper and articulated Zoom Air unit. These features provided a soft upper along with a responsive feeling under your foot. The heel was cored out for easier entry into the shoe, while the bungee lacing system helped the laces secure the upper to your foot.

Kevin Durant rocked a blue and gold “Finals” colorway of the KD 10, which is available here.

You can find other colorways of the Nike KD 10 at StockXFlight ClubStadium Goods, and GOAT.
