Kevin Durant never forgot his 2012 NBA Finals loss to LeBron James and it was redemption time come 2017.
KD grabbed a rebound with about 50 seconds left in a close NBA Finals game. The Golden State Warriors were up 2-0 in the series, but down 113-111 to the Cleveland Cavaliers on the game. Durant dribbled the ball up-court and made sure to size up LeBron. Kevin launched about a foot from the 3-point line off the dribble. LeBron closed out perfectly and was practically underneath KD during Kevin’s landing. The Durantula held his follow-through with all the confidence in the world, as his rainbow shot swished through the net. The cherry on top was the sneer of Durant as he swaggered back on defense. The Dubs would not relinquish the lead, going up 3-0 against the Cavs.
The sneakers Durant rocked for this NBA Finals matchup was the Nike KD 10. This signature sneaker carried over many details from the KD 9, including a Flyknit upper and articulated Zoom Air unit. These features provided a soft upper along with a responsive feeling under your foot. The heel was cored out for easier entry into the shoe, while the bungee lacing system helped the laces secure the upper to your foot.
Kevin Durant rocked a blue and gold “Finals” colorway of the KD 10, which is available here.
You can find other colorways of the Nike KD 10 at StockX, Flight Club, Stadium Goods, and GOAT.
