Rookie hazing was in full effect, as Kevin Durant made a poster out of Marvin Bagley III in a midseason matchup between the Warriors and Kings.
Following a block from Andre Iguodala, Quinn Cook was off to the races on the fast break. Cook soon reset after Sacramento got back on defense, passing to KD near mid-court. Durant easily froze Kings Forward Harrison Barnes with a left-to-right crossover. The driving Durant saw Bagley in his sight and jumped beside him. KD’s speed was too much for the rookie, who couldn’t react fast enough for the block. Durant spiked a right-handed dunk over Bagley who tried to play off the embarrassment with a quick inbound pass.
Durant rocked the Nike KD 11 during this poster slam. This shoe utilized the best of Nike’s technologies at the time. Flyknit was used in the upper, giving a soft, sock-like feel. Nike also combined a full-length Zoom Air unit with React foam to offer both responsiveness and a plush ride with every step.
Kevin rocked a Texas orange player exclusive for this game, but you can find other colorways of the Nike KD 11 at StockX, Flight Club, Stadium Goods, and GOAT.
